In the post-Friendfeed time now the importance of blogging has been reconsidered and emphasized by many authors. I agree with this conceptual thinking. It is also being supported by the considerable changes in the approaches to comments and real time lifestreaming as evidenced in the latest versions of JS-Kit "Echo" and Disqus (v.3). I expect another major innovation drive coming soon with the eagerly awaited Google's Wave.

While weighing the pros and cons of JS-Kit "Echo" and Disqus (v.3), as a temporary experiment I have added two external services (SaaS) to increase the interaction with our customers and site visitors.

Uservoice is already an established player in the field of "turning customer feedback into action". The Feedback button is placed to the left of the website body.

Olark Logo

The second service is Olark. Although still in Beta, Olark is very promising. Plenty of good features to enable "the easiest live help solution", including mobile solutions and engaging confused visitors. Our Olark chat window is placed at the top right corner of our website.

In addition I am considering other solutions from established players like Userplane.
